Touchdown began with a one-way ticket to Lisbon and the belief that moving to Portugal would be simple. But what looked straightforward on paper quickly unraveled into a tangle of bureaucracy, unanswered emails, and months-long delays. Our founder found himself in a brand-new apartment chasing down government forms in a language he didn't speak, and trying to decode conflicting legal advice.
What became obvious was that the hardest part of moving wasn't the decision, it was everything after that. So we built the service we wished existed: human, honest, and practical. Touchdown is for people who want to make the leap, but need a smarter way to land.
